ANIMATION The Gymnastics Samurai 体操ザムライ©Gymnastics Samurai Project This latest title from MAPPA ("YURI!!! on ICE", "Zombie Land Saga") is an original sports animation series all about heart and sweat. The story takes place in 2002, in the dark ages of Japan's national men's gymnastics team. Jotaro Aragaki(29), former member of the national team, had given his whole life for gymnastics and was fighting against his age and physical strength. However, things change when one day, as he was practicing like usual, he is told by his coach, Amakusa, to start thinking of his next career. Jotaro struggles, but his daughter, Rei, is always there by his side. But with one fateful encounter, the Aragakis' lives changes drastically. Release Year
