Mao Matsumoto, who has an IQ of over 150, is a mysterious medical examiner. She has no family and doesn’t know love, fun, nor so-called happiness. Nothing interests her except the corpse. On the first day of her career, a middle aged man who apparently fell from the scaffolding at a construction site is carried in. His wife, who doubts the cause of her husband’s death, visits Mao’s office and asks the staff to reexamine the body, and finds the true cause of death. Through the medical examination on the body, Mao finds out that his death was not a result of falling off the scaffolding after all. Forensic evidence leads her to believe this was not an accident but a mysterious murder case!!
